Hi, this is Daniel from One Percent Property, here with your weekly market update coming to you a day late on Friday the 18th of September, 2020. So what has been happening with property in our local market over the last seven days?, We've had a big week for sales in Queensland. 1,282 sales across the state, with an auction clearance rate of 49%, up on 42% last year. Great numbers, lots of properties changing hands, lots of good sales. 27 sales in our inner-northern suburbs. Kedron and the surrounding area, again, a very good number, stronger than the last couple of weeks. It's certainly stronger than the COVID timeframe. It's obviously good news for anyone that owns property. It's fantastic news for anyone that's thinking about selling.


Some notable sales across our region or our area. 56 McIntyre Street in Wooloowin, two bedroom house, fetched a fantastic $665,000. 61 Harding Street in Enoggera is another two bedroom house on 400 square meters. That one fetched 618. Really big results for houses that only have two bedrooms. Probably people planning on doing a bit of a renovation there, but lots of people taking advantage of the grants to do those renovations, so really good news for all of our inner northern suburbs.


This week we launched number one at 11 White Street last Monday, and went under offer with the same property on Saturday, with three offers on the table, 22 inspections completed, and a fantastic price well in excess of what the vendor was after. It shows just how strong our inner northern suburbs are, Kedron and surrounding area. People want to buy in those areas, and properties are selling quick and at a fantastic price, which is really, really good news for homeowners and vendors alike.


In the news this week, some really good news actually this morning was that Queensland put on 90,000 jobs last month, so we're leading the recovery. We're doing really, really well on the jobs recovery. Our unemployment rate is dropping, and all of those forecasts of the double digit unemployment, they're all out the window. There's a lot more positivity, a lot more, I think, reasonable and realistic forecast from the banks. It's all really quite good news all around.
